At her third anniversary show, Agnes Finney released her newest butterfly dresses. They are adorable–the skirt is a kaleidoscope* of butterflies. She has released a wonderful special version called Romantic Butterfly Joy that is so pretty. The bodice is black with white piping that laces up the back and highlights the front of the bodice above a vertical row of white buttons. The skirt is made of butterflies–three-dimensional butterflies–in yellow, turquoise, and white.  It is so pretty it makes me certain spring can’t be too far away. The dress is only 100L and in the bag you also get a 100L gift card. That is a great buy.

The dress is located at the front of her main store and beside it you will find a hair by Lyrique that is also called Joy. It is a blond updo with loops of hair that are adorned with butterflies matching those in the skirt. The hair is a special price of only 50L.

These are great New Year’s buys, so pop over and get them while they are available.

*A kaleidoscope is the correct term for a group of butterflies.

A group of designers set out items for 55L on Thursdays. This week Eve Express of Bodies By Eve (BBE) graciously dropped the 55L item to me. I’m happy to report that these skins are out until Christmas. Each skin is 55L, and you can get demos of the skins for free before you buy. At the moment there are only these two skins in the line but she will be expanding the line soon. Remember to try different bodies with different faces and shapes as well as different eyebrow shapes to find what works well with the skin. I am forever amazed at what a little change can do to change the looks of a skin.

Last night I received an announcement that Estravaganza was having a 50%-off sale. This was a store that I had not heard of before, and being curious by nature, I popped over and had a look around. The designer, Estrella Soulstar, has some beautiful gowns. I’m partial to ones that have a necklace-friendly neckline and more than one look. I came away with A021 Estravaganza Libertango in red. This gown is elegant, versatile, and sexy.

It comes with matching red pearl necklace, earrings, and a flower for the hair. While red is my favorite color, that much red was a bit much, so I replaced the necklace and earrings with the FineSmith Design set Heart Attack. I love the fact that Yula Finesmith makes mostly menu-driven jewelry that you can size and retexture to fit what you are wearing. I set the necklace, earrings, and bracelet on silver with diamonds. Then I added the FineSmith Metallic Nails/Rings set to red nails with silver rings and diamonds. I also added the first set of eyelashes that Yula has put out for sale for only 50L–look on the sign board next to the Christmas tree for this special item.

I’d like to take this opportunity to mention that Basevi Moda Shoes is going out of business very soon. These Color-Change Stilettos have long been among my favorite shoes. I’ve worn them since I first came into SL almost 2 years ago and I still wear them frequently. I was very disappointed when I saw the shop was closing, but I understand every pair of shoes is only 10L. Stop by and pick up these great, versatile shoes, they won’t be around much longer.

Yula Finesmith of FineSmith Designs began a 50%-off-everything sale Monday. She had intended the sale to be only 24 hours, but due to popular demand, she has extended the sale to Wednesday, December 22 at 9:00 a.m. SLT. Yula Finesmith of FineSmith Designs has designed five new collars and honored them after four of her stylistas. Don’t make the mistake of looking at any of the collars and think that is what they have to look like because they can be larger or smaller; they can be retextured with different metals and/or different gems; they can be colored; they can glow or be shiny; and all of these features are controlled by a menu. You’ll have way too much fun playing with the different looks you can have from a single piece of jewelry. What’s more, Yula has promised there are more to come, and I can hardly wait.
