I should have posted this yesterday for Fifty5 Thursday sales, but I am perpetually behind. The hat, Rachel’s Straw Hat from Xen’s Hats, is still 55L and will be until Sunday. It has a color-change hud that lets you recolor the hat and band separately, so it can match anything in your wardrobe. I’m wearing it with two of the Fifty5 Thursday items from Finesmith Designs—the Nola bracelet and Nola collar, both in silver. Yula usually extends her 55L price beyond Thursday, so you can probably get them, as well as the pieces in gold, for another day or two.

Fifty5 Thursday at Xen’s Hats and Finesmith Designs started at 7:00 a.m. SLT today and will extend to 7:00 a.m. SLT Friday. Yula set out ten different colors of fingernails, each 55L. She also set out, as a group gift, a bag with four bracelets she made and never released.
Xen’s Hats has only one hat for 55L, but it’s a hat with infinite possibilities. Click on the hat to resize it, and wear the hud to change the color to match any outfit you have on. I love that!

Yesterday I showed you the Rosy Top Hat in black with a purple band and white roses. Today I’m showing you the very same hat that I used the accompanying hud to recolor the band and roses in a hue to compliment the blouse. I could also have changed the hat color, but I liked the look of the black with the taupe. The hat will be on sale for 55L tomorrow for Fifty5 Thursday. I never tire of writing or talking about things I love. So you can be sure that I love Finesmith Designs and DURA Hair. I’ve written in the past that I wear my hair very short in real life and that I like short hair in SL. (Actually, I like hair of all lengths in SL because I can have thick hair of any length—not so in real where I have thin hair.) In SL one of the advantages of short hair is that it generally shows jewelry off well, as you can see in the photos below. As a manager for Finesmith Designs, I like to show off my jewelry and, to be honest, Yula likes those who work for her to show it off too.
In the top photos, I’m wearing the Folium Earrings and Folium Necklace from Finesmith, both of which are color-change and are currently 50% off and the DURA Boy 22 Hair in three different colors. The hair actually is shaved on the back and sides, but I’m not fond of that look, so I added one of the DURA hairbases from another of the DURA hairs in my inventory. I love these bangs, they are very flirty.
