Yula Finesmith has two groups for FineSmith Designs. FineSmith Jewelry & Accessories is a free group that receives updates and a free monthly gift. ~*FineSmith Jewelry*~ is a paid group that costs 365L to join and that receives updates and has extras such as gifts, discounts, and the current hunt that has 20 gift boxes with 46 gifts and they are all FREE. Paid members get a real deal with the total value of the hunt gifts way more than 365L. So if you are not a member, you may just want to join.

I’ve taken photos of all of the items in case members of the ~*FineSmith Jewelry*~ group really want a particular item, they know just what to search for. I apologize for the quality of the photos, but I wanted to get them up as quickly as possible. Yula is out of the country at the moment, but she will be back soon and the hunt will end.

There are two free hats currently available at Xen’s Hats. First is “Pilgrim” in honor of the Pilgrims who celebrated the first Thanksgiving with their Native American neighbors. While it is an American holiday, you do not need to be from America to appreciate this cute, stylish conical style hat in black with a silver buckle on a black band. Who said Pilgrims weren’t stylish? Of course, you don’t have to dress like a Pilgrim to wear this cute hat.

This second free gift is a hairband that is color-change to match your favorite outfit. Help control those errant hairs with this little band. (Most hair needs at least a bit of editing, but the one I’m wearing doesn’t require a lot of editing.)

I would like to get you to know Xen’s Hats. To help you, I’ve set my newest hat, Mr. B, on sale for only 10L.It’s a cute bowler with a ribbon and bow on the side. It comes in white with a color-change hud, however, you can wear it white or color it with the included hud to match an outfit. I’m wearing it on the left colored black and pink to compliment the Crisis in the Horn of Africa outfit from Coeur Noir.

In the middle I’m wearing Ava, my Fifty5 Thursday hat. It’s a causal hat upturned all around with a bow on the left front. It also comes in white with a color-change hud. Here I’ve colored it all a mushroom color to compliment the LeeZu pants and tank and jacket from Friday.

On the right I’m wearing Harrietta, a headband that is a free gift at the shop. Just click the vendor to get it. It also comes in white with a color-change hud. I’ve colored it a golden beige to coordinate with my dress from Leri Miles Designs.

Yula has named this set Sylphia after Sylphia Constantine, a Muse Finalist. I thought it was the perfect jewelry on which to base a Halloween costume. You may look at this and think it doesn’t look like a costume, but I would argue, of course it is—I am wearing a great VooDoo skin from LionSkins along with a great LionSkins makeup and a hair base that looks like cornrows. Anyone looking at me would not recognize me if it weren’t for my name displayed prominently above my head in SL. I like to think of myself as a Scorpion Queen. Don’t make me angry, my sting is lethal.

Halloween is near and many of you are looking for scary costumes. I, however, don’t want to be scary, but I did want to use this great hat pattern. Rissa Friller knows all about styling challenges. She won the FineSmith Styling Challenge last fall to become Ms. Stylista. I’ve also seen Markski Glom and his exceptional styling at his graduation from Maniera Institute of Style where he wore two different looks from the Visual Kei genre–quite a styling challenge. I mention Rissa and Markski because they put their heads together to come up with the latest styling challenge from FineSmith Designs–Style That.

Style That is for avis who are great at styling but who may or may not be good on the runway. You DO NOT have to walk on a runway and select apropriate poses. You DO have to style in a hurry because there is a 2-hour time limit.

It starts Tuesday, March 22, at 9:00 a.m. SLT. Be there sometime between 9:00 – 9:20 a.m. SLT to pick up your FREE item to be styled. That’s right, you style around a FREE piece of FineSmith jewelry. Go pick it up and style it. What do you have to lose? For those of you who are tempted but think you can’t style that fast, give it a try each week through to the end of the challenge period in May.
