The Stevie Wonder lyrics “Isn’t she lovely, isn’t she wonderful…” come to mind when I see the February cover of Avenue Magazine. She is indeed lovely, and Ms. Janina Scarmon makes a wonderful My Precious Queen. In the magazine, you can read the story of how Agnes Finney, designer and owner of My Precious, came up with the idea for the competition. You’ll see some wonderful photos of Queen Janina, and read the words of Roland Zepp as he tells the story.

Stop by My Precious to get your issue. While you’re there, click on the sign that gives directions for entering the February competition. There is a competition each month, so if you miss February’s deadline of the 20th, you can always enter in March. If you don’t win, don’t give up. The entries each month are judged by a panel who have their own opinions about what makes the photos the best. Study the pictures of the winners, see if you can figure out why they won, and try again.

At 4:00 p.m. SLT today, January 2, the finale for the My Precious Queen will be held. Six of the most beautiful women in SL will be competing for the title. I will not be among them. (Sigh) However, I will be there as the host of the event. I thought I would give you a glimpse of possibilities. The My Precious Queen jewelry will not be what I’m wearing–that is, of course, reserved for the Queen, however, Alienbear Gupte designed the sets that will be awarded to the winners and the set I’m wearing. The gown for the My Precious Queen is not the one I’m wearing either, Agnes Finney has designed a special gown just for the My Precious Queen. I did catch a glimpse of it–it’s gorgeous. You don’t want to miss this event.

The contestants will be judged by a panel of experts in fashion: Will Finney of My Precious, Alienbear Gupte of Alienbear Designs, Sykao Adamski of Entre Mares, Mui Mukerji of Alienbear Designs, Rusch Raymaker from Avenue, Jesika Centepomi from Avenue, and Agnes Finney of My Precious. DJ Able Landfall will be providing beautiful music during the event.

The runway has been redesigned and you will want to look closely to see the butterflies Agnes put in. They add such a lovely note to the venue. Here is your limousine.
