I’ve worn a Belleza skin since November 27, 2010—I looked to see when I bought that first skin just to be sure. I started with Elle, went to Erika when that skin was new, and have now fallen in love with the new Lily V2. I purchased the basic, no-makeup version in three different shades from left to right in the photo below, Fair (with red eyebrows and hairbase tattoo), Sun Kissed with the default blond eyebrows and hairbase, and Deep Tan (with dark eyebrows and hairbase tattoo). You get all three choices for eyebrow and hairbase color with all of the color skins, so you can mix and match as you like—I love that option.

I’m wearing the skin option with cleavage, but I usually choose the option with less cleavage. i noticed that with the first two skins, I am wearing the eyebrow shape that was designed for my shape, but in the dark tanned skin I am wearing the eyebrow shape (bald) that comes with the skins.

While I am showing you the lightest and darkest skin tones and one of the middle tones, there are three middle tones I do not yet own. I really like being able to stay with the same skin but change the tone depending on the clothing I’m wearing, the designer’s preferences if I’m in a show or advertisement, or if I just feel like it.

It’s not unusual for me to go on a hunt and then not open some of the items until it’s over. Such is the case with the dress I’m wearing in the photos. This cute mesh dress was a prize from AlaFolie in The Runway Perfect Hunt during April. When I finally got around to trying it on, I fell in love and was inspired to design a hat to go with it. The total look was so easy to put together using old and new favorites, including this new skin from Belleza. I’m showing the skin with no makeup so you can see the face clearly. I love it—the face is lovely and fits my “bone” structure well, something that most skins do not do, and I refuse to change my face to fit a skin.

It should be no secret that Yula Finesmith is my favorite jewelry designer. I also love blackLiquid Tokyoska’s makeup. Both of these ladies are amazing designers, and they have generous natures. I remember when Bridget Bardot was a young, French sex kitten and movie star. The press was fond of following her around and reporting on her activities. (Based on the number of photos I found here, the press appears to continue to follow her.) Ms. Bardot inspired blackLiquid Tokyoska to design the first makeup for her Bombshell Collection: Bardot. I did a search for photos of Bridget Bardot that  I could use as my inspiration. The one I chose is below; click on it for the source of the photo.

Here are the photos I did. Not perfect, but pretty darn close.

It was not unusual for Ms. Bardot to show her teeth when she smiled her very sexy smile indeed, and blackLiquid gave us that option.

blackLiquid is planning to add to this line of makeups inspired by iconic blonds. I can hardly wait to see who she selects for inspiration next.

I fell in love with this jewelry set the moment I saw it. Designed by Yula Finesmith to be worn by Anna Sapphire for the 2012 Ms Virtual World competition (that she won), it is now available at FineSmith for everyone. The pieces are texture-change using a menu, so it is very versatile. This is one of those sets I’ll go back to often. The headpiece style is unlike any design I have seen in SL. The earrings are delicate enough to be worn with most of my wardrobe. There are two necklaces that both look as good from the back as they do from the front, they are shown here together, but I could also wear them separately. I’ve paired it with this gorgeous gown from Entre Mares.

When Yula Finesmith introduced her new Back to Nature line, I knew I had some great hats to wear with them. I think of them as my Big Cats line. When I saw the announcement of this hair, I rushed over to Eshi Otawara’s shop and was the first to purchase it. Since then, SL has been a bit unpredictable and I’m just getting my post up. It reminds me a bit of a Dr. Seuss illustration—okay, maybe more than just a bit, and since I’ve always been a big Dr. Seuss fan, I had to have it. The Flower Arrangement is such fun, I couldn’t resist trying to spot those ladybugs on my head. (You can wear the hair without the ladybugs, but who would want to?)

Have you ever looked into your real life closet and tried to decide what to wear? Looking into your SL inventory can be even more difficult because you have so many more decisions to make—body, skin, eyes, eyelashes, fingernails, makeup, hair, clothing, and all of those accessories that go into making you look great. It’s a wonder we ever do anything but shop and get ready to go someplace with any time left over to actually get to where we want to go.

This mostly-empty armoire is certainly not representative of my inventory, but if I had made it look as over-stuffed as my inventory is, it would have taken way too long and would have been way too distracting. (Although it would have been fun.)

Today I’ve been trying to choose from among Agnes Finney’s new eyes, blackLiquid Makeup, FineSmith jewelry, Dura hair, and Xen’s Hats. After all of this, I still haven’t made up my mind, but I have saved all of the looks so I can go back to them. (Gosh, I love that feature. It’s the only way I can get ready with enough time to go anywhere.)

Oops! I just noticed that either I didn’t have my necklace adjusted, I hadn’t let it all rez, or my pose is causing the necklace to disappear into me. Whatever the cause, I didn’t notice it until now and I/m not going to go back to take another photo or I’ll never get this posted. (Sorry, Yula.)

Yula has so many great jewelry pieces coming out that I have a difficult time picking out favorite pieces, but these necklaces and earrings in all of their colors will be among those favorites. I’ve never worn red eye shadow before, but it looked so great with this jewelry—not overdone, just the right amount. I love Yula’s newest fingernails with French nail polish. They are very soft and provide a great finishing touch.

Dura hair designer, chiaki Xue, really has a gift for hair design. This newest design is soft and sexy and is a great example of her talent with hair. I’d love to have this hair in real—and these earrings. I may only need one earring with this hair, but it needs to be a stunner and this is (so is its mate). The pair comes in several different colors, each one more beautiful than the last, but this one struck a chord with me.

If I just limited myself to those styles and the colors of each I have in my inventory, I could try a different combination every second of my remaining life and finish sometimes in my late 80s, maybe. Ok, I didn’t really do the math, but I actually understand how to do it and the number is huge, HUGE! I’m exhausted just thinking about it.)

Okie dokie, it’s not all new, but most of it is, and I’m only sharing things I love. This new hat is Vera, one of my latest creations. It’s for sale for 55L for the next day or two or maybe a bit longer. You’ll love the lacy texture and the linen bow, both of which are color-change. The other thing I love about this hat is that you can turn it around on your head so the bow is wherever you want it. Those things make this hat very versatile.

I couldn’t resist adding this new Folieole Necklace Zing from FineSmith. You can get matching earrings, but I thought they might be a bit too much with this outfit from JaZzY’s. I am ready for summer and this sarong top and coordinating jeans are perferct for warm summer days.

When designers put together little vignettes for their customers, I am especially happy because I do not need to spend time searching my inventory for items that work together. This is a great little set from Spargel & Shine Homes at the Home and Garden Market Village. That sim was an interesting spot to wander around.
